Is it because of Covid? I mean they're dead worthless now, I wish fedex had a little more coverage.

Fedex is the worst in my experience. In the past two months we've had 4 shipments shipped on two day priority that took 3-4 weeks each.

My UPS driver is awesome. I get some Prime 2 day deliveries the next day.

Brown Santa kicks arse in my neighborhood.

We didn’t get office mail for 1.5 weeks It’s a combination of new breed lazy AF carriers with terrible upper management.

The generation that built UPS into what it was has all but retired now. The next generation has taken over.
There’s your answer.

You are seeing a lot of that in corporate America today. It’s only going to get worse.

UPS and FedEx have been solid for me. USPS lied and said they attempted to deliver a package but there was no access to the front door (what kinda stupid made up excuse is that?). They delivered the package the next morning, but the lie really annoyed me.

The problem is corporate greed/cost cutting measures. They are trying to handle 3x the deliveries of a few years ago without 3x the infrastructure. Trucks/planes can only make so many deliveries per day

Could not agree more. I sent a flat overnight, priority, express mail that got put on the floor by the postmistress and not found for two weeks. I sent another overnight priority that got delivered 13 days later. The last week or so 1 person (only)showed up for work on multiple days. I could go on and on but they have gone from not all that good to terrible.

When I was a kid there was a small park behind the neighbors across the street. Cutting through there walking to friends/school I would see the mailman parked in the shade every day. He'd be eating, napping, etc..

One day I got close enough to see what he was reading as he slumped against the window of the Jeep. Yep, reading the nudie mag one of his customers on the route gets.

UPS is solid in my area. FedEx is a close second and the USPS falls further behind by the day.

My wife ships lots of live reptiles that she breeds and UPS won't ship them so we have to use FedEx for the majority of our stuff and they've screwed up a couple times where an overnight delivery has taken a week or more and we have to refund her customers hundreds of dollars because their gecko arrives dead as a door knob. That really gets under my skin.

Are you trying to tell me that mailmen slacked off in the good old days? Cuz I just can't believe that

Lying about the delivery isn't going to fix anything though. Management won't know anything is wrong if you lie about the number of deliveries you've made.

Pretty sure the drivers only care about keeping their job, not fixing shite. Thats a management issue

I've had to call the local UPS hub way too many times over the last 6 months.

At around 630 pm one day, I got an alert saying that a delivery was attempted and it was undeliverable. Then it said it would be ready for me to pick up at CVS the next day.

I called and wasn't too happy. Just because that lazy fricker coded the rest of his truck as "delivery attempted" because he wanted to go home, I had to go to CVS the next day to get my package.

Here's the map with the park:

And yeah. USPS used to screw off MORE than they do today. Today's tight restrictions on carriers is the result of workers screwing off/around all the prior years.
