Into "drones". People who own these things are idiots. They walk around like hipster techs using the term "drone" like they are so new and innovative. Congratulations, you own a remote controlled helicopter. Been around a for a decade.

I did just discover the new "hover board" craze... About to go buy 5-7 of these things and ride it around on the golf course this summer!

The hover boards don't hover.

It's a deck w/wheels, Tony Hawk.

Several colleges have recently banned the hover boards from their campuses.

I don't frequent college campuses. But I do like to peruse town and I'm sure the hover board will be a hit on the golf course!

RC Helicopter are pretty difficult to fly. My dad has some expensive ones and it's spendy if you don't know what your doing.

To me, an unmanned aerial vehicle is a drone, and RC aircraft is RC aircraft.

That's how I'd differentiate them.

You know what else is self propelled and you can drive around a golf course? A golf cart...

Some kid was in the grocery store with his mom yesterday on one of these things. All in the way taking up aisle space it was annoying as frick.

Was it bad that I wanted him to bust his ads in the middle of the store?

I have a pretty good RC Copter from years ago given as a gift. That thing takes skill to fly. The quad copters on "drones" make them basically automated on the hover aspect. You don't have to mess with the throttle to get it to stay in the air, it's programmed.

You should have taken a product off the shelf and thrown it at his wheels

I spent $50 on this nice RC helicopter in college, and 10 minutes into owning it I accidentally crashed into into my friend's head and the blades got tangled in her hair. The only way to remove it was to cut off the blades and RC engine, thus rendering my brand new purchase destroyed and useless.

I'm not sure how this answers the question, but just thought I'd share.

Any unmanned aerial craft is a drone. From a small RC plane to a RC helicopter, a quadcopter and all the way up to a Hellfire middle launching Air Force killing machine.

However, the media has turned the word "drone" into these evil quadcopters that people are crashing into stadium, crashing on the White House lawn and looking into your daughters bedroom windows
