The hell? Maybe where you eat. Duck fat is superb. Normally the last thing I grab at the Fresh Market on the way to the register.
Duck fat fries are great. Re-read. Regular fries that are cooked, then have shitty duck fat poured on top of them are not great.

It is all relative. Costs of doing business have risen significantly

They are getting screwed by their supplier. Know several people who had to close their franchises.

There's no disputing it; 5 Guys is expensive.
However, they is a justification for it. If you want to eat a hotdog, cheeseburger, grilled cheese sammich and an Oreo-Bacon shake for brunch, your alternatives are generally even more expensive.
Some of us require massive amounts of calories and nutrients to operate and want some variety.

The cheeseburger for me was $7.50, Little Fries are 4.25 plus tax.

Shake Shack which is expensive but uses all fresh ingredients is a better buy than Five Guys right now. The cost difference is negligible at this point the extra 7% for Shake Shack is worth it.

True story, it's called Five Guys because it used to be $5 for a burger, clever right?
It’s a father (guy) and his four sons (guys).....thus five guys.
Five Guys has been a Washington, DC area favorite since 1986 when Jerry and Janie Murrell offered sage advice to the four young Murrell brothers:"Start a business or go to college.”
5 Guys Website
Here is another article......
So by the 1980s, when Murrell had gone to school for economics, grown up, and had two teenage sons telling him they didn’t want to go to college, Murrell told them that that was perfectly OK. He pooled the oldest sons’ college tuition, teamed up with them and their two younger brothers, and helped them open a carry-out burger shop.

Inflation has always been around. It’s not a new concept. Got any examples?

Yea while the food is good the prices are a bit much...hard to justify paying what you pay there at this point.

Shake Shack makes Five Guys look like McDonald’s.
Five Guys is mediocre at best when it comes to quick service burger places. Better than In n Out but that’s not saying much.

It’s the damn fries. Just give me a 1/3 of the portion for a 1/3 of the price. Even the small fries can be easily split with two people.
