Just sounds like they are using them like local couriers for local store pickup/delivery. Nothing about using fx or ups as that’s not what they do.
But the item wasnt at my store. They likely used their internal delivery mechanism to the store and the local courier to my house. I would have thought they'd use fedex from wherever it was and send to my house.

All shipping companies just turned to crap during Covid.
There is a lot of truth to that.
plus, our government was paying people to sit on their arse at home and make more money in some cases.
there are people out there that just don't want to work either. I know a former FedEX contractor and he said during that Covid Era that hardly anyone applied for his group. A lot of good drivers that he had got burned out working 6 or even 7 days a week in some cases.
Sometimes the hours of service would time out and drivers had to stay at home. He eveutually lost his contract as you might imagine.

Lou Loomis,
Why would you take this opportunity to take a personal shot at me?
In your desire to sound internet cool, you pegged me completely wrong.
Im very patient. I ordered something in time to give 2 weeks extra leeway beyond projected order delivery.
However FedEx bumbled and botched every detail.
No, ai wasnt even mad until the phone employees were actual asshats over tiny details.
I will give you one example: FedEx wrote in the delivery address and it autoloaded an old company that used to own the building. Three owners ago.
So, when they asked me the company it was shipping to and I told them the correct company, they said no, wrong company, we will not speak with you until you give us the correct company.
Sales receipt says current company. They screwed up and autoloaded 3 companies prior ownership.
How was I supposed to conjure up the company name they decided on?
It was beyond ridiculous.
And, I finally figured it out. But not until I was pissed beyond all measure.
That is just one example of the freaking Odyssey FedEx put me through for a single package.
But, I wish you the best in your internet cool dude journey.......

True about customer service in general for most companies but I deal with UPS, USPS, DHL and Fed Ex a lot due to my business.
Fed Ex is a completely different level of frustration. Seems like they're competing with AT&T
