When did all these crab restaurants pop up in BR and how do they stay afloat?

Within a short distance down Siegen all of a sudden I see
Juicy Seafood
Fiery Crab
225 seafood

I've seen Krab Kweenz
There was on on corporate that had "So Damn Good" on the side of the building.
And there's another FIERY crab off corporate.

It's like they popped up all at once, which is weird because they are super overpriced (2-4x what you can get Albertsons or Winn Dixie, steamed) and inflation has been kicking peoples arse.

Who is eating here and how are they so popular?

Do you know something I don't? Are they a money laundering front?

Do you want me to start a fight?

Crabs are a waste of time and literally filler for seafood boils. Few people fot around with that shite.

Let’s just say I’m assuming they somehow accept EBT. And if they don’t, they do a damn fine job of drawing a crowd that would make you think otherwise

Does the pirate guy in the front of the one on Seigen creep you out?

It creeps me out and I like pirates.

Snow crab and dungeoness are great if you can find them on sale for under $10 a lb. That's the only time I get them.

I don't understand how people are going out and spending hundreds on crabs though. I'm living paycheck to paycheck in this economy

I like to imagine there’s an underground Asian cartel war amongst them. And Sherwood Forest/Siegen is the turf

What is it like? Several of these places, I pass all the time and don't ever see heavy traffic in. How overpriced are they?

It is my theory that these restaurants contributed to the death of Red Lobster, by stealing their (RL's) target demographic.

Aren't they just more expensive red lobster though?

It's boil-in-bag with choice of seasoning. I'm in NW Florida and they are everywhere here. All have different names but very similar meus.
