A close friend and his wife just tested positive. I’m planning on getting tested myself, but just curious, in the event that I do test positive, at what point is it not contagious or can I go out again?

For healthcare workers, CDC says 10 days from onset of symptoms. The last 72 hours, you must be afebrile (not masked by medecine). No negative test needed.

10 days from positive test as long as you’ve been symptom free for 3 days

Yep 10 days post onset of symptoms with improvement in symptoms and no fever in 24 hours without antipyretics. This is if you have minimal to mild symptoms.

Immediately. Just wear a mask. After all, it’s there to protect others from you.

According to CDV, 10 days after first symptom and at least 72hrs after last never reading. IE, run a fever in day 8 safe on day 11

I am in day 3 of symptoms

Open the door, exit your house, profit?

Unless you need the government to think for you, wait 14 days

If you want to protest against Bad Orange Man, right now.

If you want to protest lockdowns, 14 weeks after testing negative.

If you are in Louisiana & you have been in contact with someone with the virus you have to quarantine for 14 days
You cannot take a test to get a negative result to end quarantine early
