This is very retro. Outside of people in Alaska carrying big revolvers for bear protection, I didn't think anyone carried them any more.

Not sure what you mean a big revolver, caliber or frame size? But I still CCW a .44spc wheelgun when the mood strikes depending on what I 'm wearing.

Love my revolvers, took my .44 mag on my walk today, deer season is still open and it is awesome for pigs

Wife has a .38 special that is perfect for her, point and shoot nothing to worry about with slides safeties mag releases jamming etc, yeah she only has 5 rounds , but after that it is in Gods hands

Funny story about that. When I lived in Alaska, one of my buddy’s dad was a hunting guide. People would pay him to take them up to Kodiak to hunt Grizzly. He told us about a guy who wanted to take his .357 Mag. My buddy’s dad told him, “the only use that will be is so you can shoot your buddy in the leg and the bear will get him while you get away”.

I carry a Charter Arms .44 Spc Bulldog everywhere I go. Quite easy to conceal and virtually zero chance it will have a malfunction at the worst possible time.

Revolvers are my choice for carry and for my wife. They're tried and true. They just work.

Lot of revolver owners here, I guess. I haven't seen anyone carry a revolver since last century, and I mean that - unless it's a big bore for protection against bears etc.

I watch this channel on youtube, Chuke's Outdoor Adventures, and he talks about bear protection a lot. He says that Guides in Alaska most often carry a Glock Model 20 in 10mm, for a pistol, but some people still carry big wheel guns. Big revolver is definitely more reliable. If a bear gets on you and you press a semi-auto up against it, it'll be out of battery and not fire. The revolver will work.

Anyway, this old man took care of business.

It's hard to hide a revolver when you're dressed like Minnie Pearl.

Unless you are a ghetto rat you should consider that in a dire situation the shots that matter most are the first and second. Too many people focus on a handgun having a 9 round capacity or more. The average shootout has something like 2.8 rounds fired. You wont likely need the other 6 or 7 in your magazine anyway. I will take the wheel gun ANYDAY.
