I shave in the shower. Saves time. I lather up with plain old bar soap. I’ve been shaving with the same Gillette Trac II since I was a teenager.

Same process but spousal equivalent tossed the track II handle thinking it was disposable. now i buy the 52 pack Gillette Sensor2 Plus Disposable Razor.

Have a Merkur DE razor I bought nearly a decade ago. Always used Feather blades because I read they were the sharpest and buy in bulk. Lasts me forever. Currently use Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood.

A pack of 50 blades lasts me years. A tub of shaving cream lasts about a year. And as I mentioned, the razor itself is about 10 years. Cheaper than disposable and doesn't clog up every pass. Took a little while but I'm way faster shaving with it now.

I have had a full beard and mustache for 43 years. I have been clean shaved maybe a month since I was 14 years old. Find it the biggest waste of time in the world and as annoying as wearing a tie. I trim it once a month with a cheap rechargeable trimmer and when I get a hair cut I have the person cutting my hair trim my beard and mustache. frick shaving.

I was using Schick hydro 5 with either gilette or schick gel.
I made the mistake of trying gilette fusion 5.

They're aren't as comfortable as Schicks but require one pass to get a close shave.

I probably don't have to say this but stay the hell away from Bic 5 blades. If you hate yourself then go ahead and try them. Otherwise, realize that they're cheaper than Gilette and Schick for a reason. Total garbage.

Fantastic

These are good.

I have the opposite reaction: I nick myself much more if I wait until after the shower. Also, most nicks heal by the time I'm out of the shower.

Just how it works for me.
