I have a Case of Mach 5 s from Christmas, like 24 blades. With Harrys the only difference i see except the vibration is that they last a little longer but if we do the math......Harrys is ok?

I like the 4-blade in open areas but use a disposable twin blad for the nooks and crannies.

PS - I fricked up and bought the pivoting head accidentally. I like the fixed head best.

If you clean them and take care of them you should get one month per head.

I shave every other day.

Maybe if you are not taking much off every time you shave.. But shaving every other day and using one head per month? Damn. I don't know what I was doing wrong, but I kept trying different razors. I used the dollar club razors for a long time just because I had so many razors, but I couldn't get more than 3 or 4.... If I was lucky.. 5 times from any multiple blade razors.

I used to have the same problem. I have a pretty thick beard. It's enough for me to shave every other day. Did a little research on how to make razors last longer and haven't looked back sense.

Just a quick link. Pretty much what I've been saying in other posts.

I used DSC 4 blade for a while, but then the razors started to go down hill. A fresh razor out of the holder would be dull as hell, change out the blade and same thing. Made the switch to Harry's and haven't looked back.

That is interesting, it seems like a toothbrush would be obvious yet I never once thought about it.

Feather blades and safety razor is the best and cheapest way to go.

I think I bought 500 blades for like $20 on Amazon.

Been using them for the last 5 years or so.

I am old enough to remember the old trac II razors when they were like $5 for 6 or something like that.

Glad I went to the old double edge feather blades.

This. A pack of 100 for a few dollars and I only clean shave once or twice a week at most = never run out.

Then you get into the world of brushes and soaps. Some good man-time.

I shave 2-3 times per week and a Gillette Fusion blade will last me 3-4 months.

Dollar shave club razors are garbage if you have fast growing facial hair. They give you one per week every month and you literally need a new one every week. With Gillete, I can go a month.
