New technology eliminates 15 jobs in construction sector

Adds 30 jobs in tech sector

Youre not naive enough to believe that.

Its going to really suck that the tech sector will be one of the hardest hit.

There has been a doom and gloom communist like yourself screaming about the downfall of human labor with every new technology to come about

this isnt doom. Its a widely held and respected socio-political observation.

UBI will become a big part of your life, you;ll work fewer hours a week and be an independent contractor (gig worker)

FMLA guarantees 12-weeks of leave (provided you meet the criteria).

Does not guarantee that leave is paid though.

Let’s be honest Roger, the reason why you are so angry about this is pure jealousy. The benefit wasn’t available back in the dinosaur times when you were entering the workforce and you are mad that you didn’t get to take advantage of it

Rog was also a raging alcoholic when his kid was born so he probably wouldn’t have put that time off work to good use anyway.

Roger is the toughest Alaskan tour bus driver that I know of. Not everyone can point to a stream of salmon to the left quite like Rog. AI could never.

I took right at a week off when my daughter was born. Would’ve happily taken more if I could.

Wonder how much of that is full-time work and what they are considering construction. Then again, Mexicans will do the work of 3-4 men so who they maybe making a lot of assumptions with how many people are actually doing the work.

My company gives 20 weeks paid paternity/maternity, which can be used over a year. Was excellent.

Looking forward to baby #2!

Can you be a good tour guide if you can't put your phone down for more than 10 minutes at a time?

What’s your opinion of paid maternity/paternity leave?

My opinion is….if some get it,everyone should get it. Just because I chose not to have kids, why should I have to work another 6 months to a year extra in my career? I mean, why not give everyone 6 months of pto to be taken in in one stint, to be taken sometime in your career?

Truth told, I am not in favor of any of that socialistic-they bullshite. However if you are gonna do it, let’s be fair about it.

Because that was your choice.

Just because I chose to plant baw, why should I have to sometimes work nights?

Either way, you don't have to work another 6 months to a year in your career. If you are smart enough you can choose your retirement date.

Everyone at a company that offers it who has kids does get it you idiot lol.

What next? You going to complain if someone at your job gets workman’s comp and you don’t? “Well they broke their leg and got 4 months off paid, so I should have my leg broken and get 4 months paid off as well!”

Some of y’all could walk into a nickel whore house and wind up paying $20 just to see a titty
