How do people get their max bench up without a spotter?

I wouldn't max without a spotter. If I can't do the weight more than six reps by myself, I won't lift it without a spotter.

Last time I maxed out, 475/245
1.9388
Right now idk, but probably in the 365-385 range. And I weigh 230.

I am guessing I am right around 1 at the moment.
Actually, since I haven't benched anything in 10+ years, I'd be pretty happy at 1

The amount of people that can bench over 300 in here is astounding. To the OT, once again you have impressed me

I am about at 285. And when I work out with partners and friends there are not many people that do much more. And when I am in the weight room there may be 1 or 2 guys that can put up 300.
I see maybe 1 every once in a while. people actually stop and watch when you start pressing 365+
285 would be a dream, My body just doesnt want to hold more weight than about 230 at max.

The real measure of strength metric is how many times can you pickup your couch and then run to the kitchen and back.
3(couches)*2.1(sec)=6.3
