A guy wants to stop and enjoy nature and the little things in life, but he is too busy and he'll die before he takes a break long enough to enjoy life.

We're not going to do your homework for you...
ETA: Okay, apparently we are.

It's a great poem.
But in OT speak.
Ole boy I'd at lsu lakes pondering lsu lakes> lake ponchatrain
And why from the lakes the view is only of traffic and sjws pondering their gender.
A loop would fix this

I think there is also a hint of the speaker having suicidal thoughts. The last line obviously refers to death, but the nature imagery is also one of stillness, softness, and isolation.
Anyway, this is probably the most analyzed American poem of all time.

Just like Tiger Woods golf swing. And just like Tiger Woods, the dude in the poem was taking a breather from all the farmer daughters puss he's been crushing. But his horse noticed his recovery time ain't what it use to be, so he shook his harness bells to mess with the dude. The dude just needed a break to let his balls air out. But it's really like his horse thinks, he is tired, but he still has a lot of puss to crush before the night is over. Basically, it's a milkman with a case of the Mondays.

The woods represent fricking around on tigerdroppings all day but the dude realizes he needs to get his arse in gear and go to work.

Yep. Had to read this poem in one of my English Lit classes at LSU. Teacher was Dr. Fischer, this little leprechaun looking dude who always wore tweed and corduroy.
Basically, the poem is about some guy not having time to appreciate nature's beauty because of all the responsibilities he has to fulfill.
Or it could be about this guy who hypnotizes people, calls them on the phone and tells them to blow shite up.

Poetry is the biggest waste of time foisted upon kids in school.

It isn't about anything.
Bobby Frost like to frick with students, so he just wrote some random shite and said something along the lines of, "That ought to hold the little bastards."

The poem is supposed to appear to be simple and straightforward, but isn't.
How do you know how it's supposed to appear? This is the folly with poetry and the study of literature. Everyone claims to know why something was written, or have some keen insight into the motives of the author. Of course, they have no clue. It's all just a bunch of crap from people who make too much out of nothing and assume they know far more than they do. It's not surprising that the SJW crowd gravitates to this nonsense.

It is about many things. The pull of nature/the wild vs Responsibility and society.
Yeah, a bunch of random words thrown together in order to rhyme, most likely will have many potential interpretations. Shocker.
quote:
Life and death are also represented.
Look even more can be pulled from the ambiguous. Shocker once again.
quote:
The last 4 lines are the most important.
In the ambiguous and subjective world of poetry, this statement evades any sense of reason. The last four lines, two of which are identical, yet somehow is most important? This is laughable nonsense.

Publishers, universities, and "academicians" can't make money on that, or risk admitting that. So, it's never discussed. Frost like others could have been nothing but a troll, wanting to confound people with ambiguous statements, all for his enjoyment. No one is going to drop $100 on a required text of litter-a-chure if they think it came from some troll or a guy that had nothing else in life to focus on, or a guy that just figured out he could get a paycheck from throwing down some words that rhyme.

I can't believe I've read 2 pages of this and I'm the only one who thinks this is a simple story about a guy stopping to take a piss.

It's either about sex or drugs like all other poems ever written

That's because you've been reading mainly from brainwashed people that think poetry has some deep meaning. But the academic corporations out there can't force you to take 3 credits and pay $100 for a book if parts of it are underpinned by a guy that had to piss on a winter day and wrote a jingle about it.

In OT speak, the OP would like to hang out in babe threads, NSFW gif threads, and what you eating for lunch threads all day. Unfortunately, he has to spread misinformation and generally pesimistic posts on the political board, tiger rant, and the coaches change board 24/7.
