That’s cool. Though you’re the first person I’ve ever met that’s bragged about what gun’s he can handle. You’re not impressing anyone

The Garand M-1. Beautiful rifle.

The SAW is one of the worst guns that was ever in use in the US military.

Ditto on the Thompson. Hard to argue with .45 cal full auto for close quarters combat.

I dind't like it either. It's been replaced in the USMC by the IAR (basically an HK416 with a longer and heavier barrel). Unfortunately, the IAR isn't beltfed and they're stuck using 30 rounders.

Now they want every 0311 in an infantry battalion to have an IAR over an M4.

I thought Magpul was having their 60 round drums tested for the M27

I fired the IAR with the magpul drum and the spec Trijicon optic at targets from 50m to 300m. It is a bad arse weapon.

I know. They made sure the 50s were "man portable" on humps.

I didn't know they had a drum now. That's good. I know the Surefire one was too tight.

How does it stack up to the SAW?

That optic is NICE. It's like $2600.
I know they have 240s attached but I'd like to see something in 7.62 like how they used the BAR during WW2 and Korea. The SCAR H would be perfect.

It's a lot more accurate and not a POS with too many moving parts.

Best handgun would be Glock 19. And it counts since some marines use it now.

Must say, I am partial to the AR-15/M16 rifle I was issued at Fort Polk in '74. Loved the weapon!
