My M1 Garand followed by the M16A4 and then the M14. I own an M1A and think I'll build an A4 clone in the near future. After those the M1903A3 is on that list.

A client of mine carried one in the battle of the bulge. Ninety-some years old. Can't hear worth a shite but otherwise in pretty good shape.

Finally, a use for my college degree! A few other people have said why, but the M-1 Garand is the one I come back to a lot, but a strong case can be made for the M-14 as well. No bad answer has been given in this thread.

I've got a couple of versions of the 1911. It is timeless. My dad had an M-1 and I'm not really sure what happened to it. But my favorite is a Colt 1917 DA large frame revolver. My uncle gave it to me when I was ten or so. First pistol I ever shot.
