Bought a 365 x macro 2 weeks ago. It’s a CCW game changer. 18 rounds in a compact 9mm that is considerably small than a G19. Red dot plate that doesn’t remove tge rear sight. It has 3 different grip panels and the comp takes the snap out of the recoil. Just about perfect.

I see your point. And occasionally, I also pack a wheel gun (my Kimber .357 Magnum). I also keep a Taurus Judge by my bedside.
But right now, my consistent EDC piece is my Springfield M1911 .45. It packs a punch and just works best for me ergonomically.
