We have a small family back in Nola, but our house was always the house that the friends came to. On Christmas night all of my friends and cousins come over and we drink a ton of Budweisers (one cousin only drinks Corona) and the guys play poker. After that we all go to Pat O's and hit the French Quarter. Christmas night is basically like blackout Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I look forward to it every year.

Busy, busy. Church Musician : play two vigil Masses then to my BIL's house for hors d'ouevres/supper with my SIL's family and our family. (It's just my wife and her brother, and I'm an only...)
Christmas morning, Mass at 7:00 come home, if everyone is up I might make biscuits and we'll open whatever presents we may have for each other (younger son still lives home.) Play 10:30 a.m. Mass, come home for smallish lunch, drop the meatballs in the gravy. Then go to MIL's for big supper and family presents.

It changes for us every year. I'll be with my family and nieces/nephews but no presents that night. Doing a Christmas brunch, then lunch, then relax that night. Finish up the night after Christmas with extended family in town. Around 10-12 kids from 1-11 running around...oh boy.

This is the OT isn't it? No one's tradition includes PIIHB?

Brother and I sleep in the same room and watch scarface.

Why do you say that? The sprite and the lime ice cream turns green. I don't know what you are missing here but I've only been making them for 8 years now.

My husband and I are using my recent surgery as an excuse to not have to be out and about all day/night on Christmas Seriously...my mother in law will want us over at their house until 9-10 pm normally.
Going to my parent's house for breakfast Christmas morning then my inlaws at noon.
And because I'm still "recovering from surgery and need my rest" we can leave his parents around 4 or so and just relax at home the rest of the evening

Jesus. Google lime sherbet and sprite. You will see pictures of it.

Christmas Day: kids open presents, have meal with in laws, drink.
Day after christmas: check my bank account and notice a huge dent and drink more

How long are they staying?
Too long. They’re dragging my wife out to the ball drop in Times Square on NYE. It’s a tourist trap, I’m not going.

Go to the Casino and gamble until the sun comes up.

Christmas eve we do a big party at my parents house with aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. We used to draw names from a hat and get a gift for one other person, but as of two years ago the adults are no longer included, just the next generation. Watch Christmas Vacation after everyone leaves.
Christmas day with my parents, sisters and our families. Open presents in the morning, then do a big blowout brunch. Biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, danish, bloody marys, mimosas, etc. We used to always watch the movies we would get as gifts, but no one gets dvds anymore. We usually go to the movie theater Christmas night.

Aside from North Korea, that has got to be the worst place on Earth to celebrate NYE.
