As surf and turf stew it looks great. Not so much if they call it gumbo.

maybe the problem is that the person is holding a camera instead of a spoon?

For me personally, pass on the okra, but that's just my opinion.

It's also a pet peeve when I have to pick the tails off of shrimp in a dish that isn't meant to be eaten by hand. Like a gumbo or shrimp & grits.

Also sort of looks like there are beans in there.

And it's too reddish.

And a bit weird to see seafood and sausage together, but maybe it's a crawfish-based sausage?

Other than that though, looks tasty.
This, all of it.

Depends on what they were calling it. It looks to be some sort of seafood stew and pretty delicious.

Its Mississippi, they do what they do right. Not what louisiana does right as far as food goes. Good food in Mississippi, better food in louisiana.

That ain't shite though. I went to a resturant in portland that had some cajun inspired dishes..and the gumbo was an absolute train wreck. they actually replaced rice with Couscous.

Well it isn’t gumbo in my book and combining shrimp and sausage is out as well for me. Unless you just like the taste of sausage as it will overpower the shrimp.
