Wasnt like that when I was there. Late 80s Atlanta was quite impressive and wonderful.

Last time I went to Atlanta, I saw hobo tents along the interstate and the city looked liked a giant outdated suburb rather than an actual city.

Downtown ATL is sketch. None of us who live here frequent that area. Go run the Beltline instead.

This is also the time of year when vagrants will start to migrate from their cooler summer locales to their warmer winter spots.

You should see all the folks lined up on the exchange ramp from I-20E to I-75/85N in the afternoons. It's been the same 20 or 30 people lining the ramp there for at least six years.
That shite makes me so uncomfortable. There’s nowhere for yin to go so you have to stare straight ahead pretending you don’t see them and joke the homeless person doesn’t have a psychotic break and try to bust a window or something

They've been corralled mainly to the areas around Woodruff Park in Downtown.

Had to go to Atlanta for a work conference back in 2014-2016ish and I remember walking to lunch with my coworker and a homeless lady with a large stick/almost cane-line item raised it up at me as I walked by and gave me the craziest look I have ever seen.
In hindsight, I did not react nearly enough as I should have and pretty much just trusted this person not to bash me with it in some way.

Go anywhere. They are everywhere.

As opposed to Houston?

come to spokane. Open drug use and open camping all over downtown and it’s moving into the suburbs. businesses downtown have filed a class action against the city for complete incompetence. nothing will come of it. the money that the catholic charities and other homeless/drug counseling throw around will keep it going

They were all over when I would work out near GA Tech. That was 20 years ago. And tranny hookers.

Been there about a dozen times for work over the last 2-3 years. What a shithole. fricking bums and drug addicts everywhere. Seattle and Tacoma are beyond repair. Such a shame considering how awesome Washington is, but you get what you vote for. Personally, I’d like to round up every last bum/druggie/hippie/homeless person and send them on a one way trip to Alaska.
