What’s up with Meta?

I tapped out of Facebook years ago. Then I heard a bunch of stuff about Meta admitting to misusing peoples data, suppressing information from certain people while pushing false narratives about Covid, Russia collusion… It looked like some well deserved payback was headed their way. And then nothing. Fast forward to now and I’m starting to see Meta ads and Meta pushing to further integrate all of its platforms.
I know it’s still popular with a section of public , but does anybody really think that Meta have changed their ways?
Also, saw this on instagram…
Meta Accounts are only available in some locations. Meta Accounts are becoming available to people on an individual basis. This means you may be updated on some accounts before others, if you have accounts in different Accounts Centers.

I dunno. I’m waiting for Facebook the sequel to come out to find out.

I believe they just had a ruling say they had to pay like $15 billion in fines or something like that.

A couple fun products is cool but Zuck has got to get over the wearables obsession. He should be putting that giga brain to use right now figuring out how Meta is going to slide in and clean up after the frontier lab companies go bust.

As valuable as data is.... Do you think they would not misuse the data they have available to them?

Pretty sure everyone who thought about it for 5 seconds would assume so.
As I said, it's been a while since I had an account. Enjoyed it for several years, but once I saw 1st hand the suppression going on, I bailed. Casual things I'd randomly post about on my own page oddly started getting yanked and policed. And this was before Covid. I can only imagine how bad it got later on.
