Malaysia Air Flight 370 from Kuala Lumpur to Bieging. Was supposed to be a few hours and we still haven't landed. It's been months now. Thinking about asking the flight attendants what is going on, but don't want to be to pushy.

DFW to LAX in a thunderstorm. We had rolling turbulence. First time I've ever seen people actually use barf bags.

Direct flight from Memphis to New York. About 2.5hrs into the flight the pilot puts the plane into a 30 degree dive for about 3 minutes. Never came over and said a word about why he did it.

He was auditioning for the Blue Angels and it was none of your business WHY he did it!

Second worst flight was Memphis to BTR during the tornadoes through Birmingham a few years back that destroyed everything.

Third was into DC during a massive storm as we and is some of the worst turbulence I've ever experienced.

All of these come second fiddle to the real worst flight in the emergency landing I had back in 2010 into baton rouge.

Nothing too bad, but I had a flight from Denver to Memphis late one night and a little Middle Eastern boy was screaming the whole time. His parents never looked at him, he just sat there and cried the whole. entire. time. Must be a thing to not comfort your babies in that part of the world.

Houston to Nola. Flew into a BAD storm, literally thought we were going to die trying to descend into Nola.

I have been in 2 scary spots on flights:

1. MSY -> DEN. Landing gear was stuck on descent. Captain took us up and circled and explained to us that he was burning all of the fuel, because we'd have to land on the belly and if we had fuel in the tanks we'd blow up. Gear eventually came down.

2. King Air 350 turboprop over central Florida. We came out of a weather system and lost a couple hundred feet of altitude in about 1/2 second. Best free fall in my life

Coming home on Christmas leave while i was in the Army. I was stationed at Ft Hood, TX. Left Houston and it was in the 70's. Landed in Cincinnati and it was in the 30's. Thats not the bad part. A major snow storm was just to the North of Cincinnati and i was taking the short 20 minute flight from Cincy to Columbus. I had a window seat right behind the wing. As we are sitting on the tarmack, it starts sleeting and freezing and nobody was deicing our plane or anything, which i remember thinking was odd. So we take off and because of the storm, i swear we never got more then 100ft off the ground. As we approach Columbus i can remember the pilots attempting to put the flaps down to prepare for landing. I could see them going in and out and getting stuck. At this point i was starting to really get nervous as by this time we were in a full fledge snow storm. We ended up circling around Columbus for 20 mins. Finally they got the flaps to go all the way down. Still, we had to land. I remember as we were about 100 ft from the runway, it was snowing so hard i couldnt see the ground. We finally landed and everything was ok, but that night, i was the happiest i had ever been to see my family. Seriously dont know how those pilots did it.

Last february on superbowl sunday. Was flying from Ithaca to Detroit to Atlanta to New Orleans. Plane had maintenance issues so it got in an hour late. By the time it got there, it started snowing pretty hard and the superbowl just started. We board after seeing one play, de-icing takes 45 minutes, and taxi to runway. Then they decided to plow the runway, another plane lands, says its slippery.

Plows go again, but by this point (3 hours after we should've left), we need to get de-iced again. Captain (female) takes the plane back to the gate, flight gets cancelled. End up driving the 4 hours overnight in the snow to Laguardia. Check-in and we were rebooked to detroit instead of atlanta. Got that figured out so then we gate check our bags and mine makes it to BTR but not my friends. We missed the entire superbowl

Usually I don't have a problem flying. However, we flew to San Fran for our honeymoon in 2011 and experienced some nauseating turbulence crossing the Rocky Mtns.

I have never had a bad flight.

I have never had a delay, never had a cancellation.

I am lucky.

But when I flew to Alaska this past Thanksgiving it was my first flight that lasted more than 4 hours. I chose to sit by the window seat to marvel at all the scenery we would fly over. Instead, it was cloudy the whole time so I couldn't see shite until we got about 30 minutes outside of Anchorage. So that sucked pretty bad.

I've been on flights for two aborted landings... but both ended up fine.

The worst flight was probably Anchorage to Houston, had a couple of screaming kids around me, just wanted to sleep but could never get comfortable. That flight felt like it took forever.

Just got off of a flight from Dallas to New York. Flight was ultra crowded, so that was a little uncomfortable. To make this better, a guy on my row got up to use the restroom 5 times on a 2.5 hour flight.

Denver-Casper,WY

Sat by 400 lbs of lard arse, had to de-ice on the runway in Denver, and had a little bit of turbulence. Nothing freaky, just pretty uncomfortable on what was supposed to be a 35 minute flight that turned into two hours.
