What's the point in buying luxury cars?

I never understood this. They cost a shite ton more than similar non luxury models and only have a few more features.
Just seems like a waste of money IMO. I'd rather go on a cruise with the left over money.

What do you consider a luxury car? A 328i for instance is not a luxury car

I don't know why somebody would buy a German car bc they suck arse but a Lexus or Infiniti holds its value extremely well and runs (and looks cool) until 200,000 miles
