Lexus LS 500 is so choice. If you have the means I highly recommend picking one up.
This is the only answer!

Yeah, but if your driving a luxury vehicle you probably know you will have to spend money on maintenance. Lexus has a 60 or 90k check up that is $1200.00. They change plugs and flush transmission fluid. :lol
I had a Porsche and loved driving it and it was very reliable. Maintenance was steep on it as well. First oil change was $400.

The new TTV6 is a brand new platform.
Does 0-60 in 4.6, which is pretty damn good considering the weight of the new LS.
I know some folks still love the growl of a NA V8 but this engine will more than likely be used in the new IS-F to replace the GS segment.
Lexus carlineup by 2020 will be:
ES / F-Sport
IS / F-Sport / F Car
RC / F-Sport / F Car
LS / F-Sport
LC / F Car
More than likely, the LC-F will have a turbo V8 that will be tuned down and offered as a sport version of the LS.
I personally love hearing the spool of a turbo so the design change doesnt really bother me. Lexus is making a big attempt to get more power in their vehicles.

Exactly. Why people get so caught up in performance or reliability of $100k sedans that will never see a track or go faster than 80 mph is hilarious.
Get the one that looks the best inside and out and rides comfortably. The rest is practically irrelevant.
ETA - the market of people willing to spend $100k on a car AND put 100k miles on it is pretty slim.

read where BMW’s have some issues with water pumps, transmissions and such at about 90k, so I let that sway my judgment too much.
Or just right if you don't want the hassles those issues do to your otherwise interesting day.

Exactly. Go to any dealership selling high end cars and they have plenty of 2016 and up models with very low miles still under warranty. I could kick myself for not buying the 7 series. It had 19,000 miles and I don’t keep them long so the transmission cocerns were negligible.

The guy in the Lexus will laugh at you when your bimmer or Benz is in the shop. Again. The LS is absurdly reliable.

The v8 was indeed amazing. I'm hesitant on that 6 but goodness is this thing a rocket ship.
That v8 engine block used to pulled into the mold like a vacuum, not poured. Less air that way. It's obscene what Toyota did making these cars. I love them.

Are you saying the LS V8 is a rocket ship? Mine must be defective. It’s adequate but the BMW is much faster and handles better.

Mercedes S Class.
Everything else is a pretender.

The new v6 is a rocket ship! Granted, I'm not a fan of overpowered v8 Mercedes biturbo engines so for me it's plenty. Your mileage May vary

The newer Impala is very nice (and I’m glad that Chevy has elected to keep it around for another year), but that’s definitely not an OT approved luxury sedan.
Think Mercedes S Class or Cadillac V series. We all have at least one parked at every house we own. Most of us also have a Bentley Mulsanne and a driver stationed at our favorite houses.

There was a time. One time. Never again.
Lexus LS was my choice.
