Honestly probably going to LSU. I would not have had the experiences and made the friends I did, which have helped me in numerous later decisions. I’m sure I’d still be successful but who knows how or where if not for applying and getting my acceptance letter years ago

I was about to start law school and got a job offer I couldn't refuse. The five years after that was an awful blur of money and alcohol in foreign countries.

It ruined my life.

I'm in my early 30s and I'm trying to piece it all back together.

I'll bounce back, but I'm 15 years behind where I want to be.

Going to be a student and eventual frat star at LSU instead of playing basketball at a shitty D-3 school

My girlfriend of a few years in college came from a strict and pretty religious family. We got pregnant by accident, had plenty of conversations about it, I adamantly wanted to keep it and pleaded for months and she ended up panicking and had an abortion behind my back. That was 11 years ago. And the rest, as they say, is history.

My cousin knocked his up in HS. She was a Jr and he was a Sr. They worked through it, got married and had a great life until she dropped dead of a heart issue out of the blue at about 25. Count your blessings.

Got arrested then decided to go to law school after seeing what an effective criminal defense attorney can do against (or as I like to see it as leading the blind to the water aka the truth) the DA and bad cops. Best decision I ever made. (I have no debt from law school so I don't have that crushing pressure that most do.)

Gf dumped me precisely, and I mean precisely, to the day, when it needed to happen. Long story short, ended up with my dream job out of it.

Learned a ton from that experience, for better or worse.

I was going to not play football in 9th grade and focus on basketball. The FB coach showed up before basketball practice like why aren’t you coming to football workouts?

I was too big a pussy to tell him I wanted to quit football. Fast forward 4 years and I’m signing to play college football. It made my life. In many respects.

Death of my daughter

lost a child 5 month plus into the pregnancy

Ex and I divorced within 9 months after and she took my stepdaughter who was my child in every way that mattered

all that in 9 months shook me up

I often think I have PDST from it

I still can recall with total clarity the ultrasound I could see the lifeless form of my child in the womb, the tech hadnt turned the screen far enough around
