The evolution of terrific to not aligning correctly with the meaning of terror/terrified the way horror/horrific/horrified align really bothers me for some reason. I know it isn't a misuse of the word according to its modern definition, but it bothers me that the word was allowed to evolve into meaning the opposite of what it should be.

not used often - but when it is used it is almost always used incorrectly
