Wife made us late for our flight from New Orleans to Denver, so we hopped in the car and didnt stop until we got to our hotel. It was Aurora actually.

48? That’s only 29 hours without stopping. Must have been hwwhackin it in the trailer a bunch
No trailer, just a Saturn L200 stuffed to the gills with all the possessions I could bring with me. It was late October too so daylight was not on my side.

Barstow, California to San Antonio, Texas. Took us about 22 or 24 hrs. We drive just east of SA, pulled over, slept for about 3 hours before getting back on the road and driving to Baton Rouge, which took another 9 or 10 hours. We got stuck in Houston for what seems like hours.

Orlando to St Augustine to BR. Absolutely brutal. Rained like crazy for a good portion of the trip.

Colorado Springs to Houston.
Last flight out that we were booked on had issues and I HAD to be at work the next day.
Rented a one-way car (I think it was an XTerra) and drove the 14+ hours. Got to IAH where our car was parked around 2AM and then drove to Clear Lake. Slept from 3am-6am and got up and went to work.

Man y’all guys are nuts. I fcking hate driving long distances. Several years ago I set my range at 6 hours max or I was flying, especially if the family was with me
Now I’m planning a solo trip right after Mardi Gras and thinking I will make 8-9 hours work
Flying wasn’t an option for me in this instance. But generally I like to get where I’m going.

swapping drivers.
Does this count?
I don't remember the details on miles per driver and the swaps. That's just the longest straight drive I've done. With just me driving, Kansas City to Rapid City, SD. Last 2 hours into a blizzard, though we might die a couple times.

Me and my foreman had to drive our 1 ton Chevy dually to Oregon back in 1992. We started at 6am in San Antonio, I drove to Mesa Verde CA, 1200 miles in 16 hrs. I got in the back seat and slept for 4 hours, we ate breakfast outside LA and I started driving again and put in another 800 miles in 12 hours. Pulled into Burns Oregon at noon the next day. 2200+ miles in a day and half and I drove all but 200 miles of it. Oh to be young again.
