9-11. Tower collapsing. It was surreal and I couldn't shake the feeling that I was watching Die Hard or some movie. I had eaten at the restaurant just a few years earlier at the top of one of the towers and I just couldn't wrap my mind around something that tall collapsing.

Other than 9/11, the LA riots were pretty crazy. At that time we had an old BUD satellite dish and got live raw feeds from news outlets.

I was home sick from school one day, sitting in bed eating a bowl of NoodleOs when I saw the now infamous Price is Right episode with the black lady whose tits flew out of her top while she was "coming on down." I think they stopped shooting it live shortly after that.

Heck...I gave him my parking pass to the New Mexico State game.
For the record, my dad's shooting did not occur live on television, but it was shown live on the news that night.
Also, I left Manhattan at 3:30am on 9/11/2001....I went to see Michael Jackson at Madison Square Garden that Monday night.
