-34 at Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin during January ‘89. We were there for cold weather training for our deployment to Norway. The Corps got their monies worth that year. It was warmer in Norway that it was in Wisconsin.

Certainly not the coldest I've been in but northern Virginia just went from 31 to 25 degrees during a five mile drive. The winds went from non-existent to 25+ mph. It's starting to get pretty uncomfortable out there and it's going to be a lot worse by morning.
Growing up as a kid in northeastern Ohio I remember a days that were -5 to -10 when we got up but even those were few and far between.
It's still nothing near what those in the midwest are enduring. God Bless you guys and be safe and warm inside.

Hope you have had a round American woman, and got to drive a pickup truck.

The coldest I have been in is 16 degrees. The 49ers were playing the Bengals in the Super Bowl that day. I was in NOLA. If I had to endure anything colder i would move to Miami.

Gunnison, CO, temps never got about -30 for 4 days straight, bottoming out somewhere in the -55 area, and not quite sure what the windchills were. It is quite the experience to walk out the door and have the snot in your nose freeze. I loved living in Co but that week almost did me in.

Rainier I would guess, don't know the temps. I was dressed for it and busy at the time so no fricks were being given.

It’s 10 right now in Ashburn, VA. Going down to about 5. Wind chill is -7 now. That’s damned cold for Virginia.
