Unit price shopping for inexpensive commodities.

Owner of our company takes a few of us on trips. He will spend freaking thousands on renting a large cabin boat, steaks, beer and what ever we want. Money is no object. But at the very end when we get near the airport, he will stop to fill up the rental van and has one of us watch the gas needle so he can stop pumping right before it is completely full.

My parents wash out and reuse Ziplock bags.
They won't use their oven in the summer because it makes the AC work harder.
They will reprimand you if you take too long get what you want out of the fridge.

Wealthy people didn't get where they are by pissing all their money away.

My parents are fairly well off and will not call me because it is long distance. In the rare event that they do call me they hurry up and say call me back. BUT, my Mom will continue to feed that slot machine with $100 bills.

Not as cheap as some of these but my dad was playing golf with a friend worth upper half of nine figures. He has homes in six places including NYC and Grand Cayman. He has a decent yacht. Downsized a few years ago from his own jet to fractional ownership.
He plays with a set of clubs where the woods are still wood. He told my dad he did not think a new Driver was worth a few hundred.

Shreveport Maxwells- Elderly man who was worth a couple of hundred million dollars arguing with the girl checking him out over 19 cents. She "overcharged" him on three ears of corn. He stood there until he got his 19 cents back while a line of four of five customers waited.

Pre-COVID we used to hold luncheons quite often at our office, and order a shite ton of sandwiches from a nearby place. There would always be a ridiculous amount of leftovers that we'd throw in the fridge.
I loved having free lunch for the next few days, but the head of our company would eat those things long after they should have been thrown out. We literally had to throw them away when he wasn't looking to save him from himself. He hates wasting food.

Bogalusa was forced to put a property tax measure on the ballot to fix their insolvent retirement system. One of the local slumlords put out no tax signs all over town, told his tenants their rent would go up if it passed, and rode around town screaming "NO NEW TAXES" into a bull horn. In all honesty it would've cost the guy a few thousand a year, but he still wouldn't have been paying what the law said he should pay anyway. Really made himself look like the spoiled brat he is.

Idk if I'd say they're wealthy, but my parents do quite well while still being some of the cheapest, most frugal people you'd ever meet.
They have a toaster that one of the bread slots is slightly jammed so it doesn't eject all the way. One piece of toast pops up, but the other one just sits in the bottom. You have to reach in with like a fork and half burn your finger half get shocked every time.
It's so dumb, but they won't buy another one "because it still works" lol.
My folks are about the same, well off but still very frugal, and won’t replace appliances, in one case a microwave. I finally just bought them one under the guise of a Christmas present.

One of my clients has tens of millions of dollars. Rather than buying a new desktop he has me upgrade his six year old ones to Windows 10.

Catfish farmer I worked for in high school worth over 500 million used to pick up rusty worn out bolts outside the shop and put them back into the bin. We used to super glue nickels to the shop floor to watch him try to pick them up. Was hilarious

Who in the world still pays for long distance home phone service?

I have seen Alexander Shunnarah buy the cheapest bottles of wine the store had to offer.

My brother in law reuses Tin foil. When he makes baked potatoes, he carefully unwraps the foil, neatly folds it, and places it back into a drawer to use up to 3 times. He lives on 150 acres
