Serious question. How did your friends and family react when you showed up at events dating an 18 year old when you were 40?

Was never an issue honestly

In college, when I was 19, I had a brief fling with a 39 year old.

What sort of relationship? Dating, about 12 years. A FWB type, which worked at my company, about 23 years

This is what I'm wondering as well. As a 43 year old man, I have no interest in 18 yo women. One guy said he won't date anyone over 30. I'm the opposite, I won't date any under 30. I just don't have anything in common with them. A hookup or FWB situation is one thing but marriage/committed relationship is a whole different ballgame.

when I was 30 there was a couple who lived a couple of houses down that were pretty good friends, the wife had a younger sister who was 18 and smoking hot, pretty smart girl, we used to do a lot of things together, their mom would be around too, the girl was kind of infatuated with me and I used to joke with her mom that we were going to start going out etc., all her mom a ever said was "you take care of her college and she's all yours"

the mom was pretty hot too

Not sure, but sex with that 50 year old was the best ever.

That depends on the person, but I don't have much in common with anyone more than a few years older or younger.
