There’s a plastic thing you can buy for about $10 to put your hat in so it retains its shape. Then put it in your dishwasher. If you don’t have a dishwasher, throw it in the washing machine.
I hope it goes without saying that when you put it in either the dishwasher or washing machine, don’t forget the soap and run it.

I've tossed plenty LSU hats in the washer with hot water and some bleach when doing towels for example. They come out fine 99% of time.
Another great way to safely wash a cap is to soak in warm water with baking soda overnight.
Some hats get smelly and some don't. Regardless of brand. Just sucks.

There is a product called Funkaway that works well on stinky gym clothes. It might work on your cap.

why? most of them are from ballparks I've to and they're all fitted. You need to a 7 1/4 to wear any of them too.
