That breeze that hits you in the South Louisiana marsh just after you stop the boat for the first cast at daybreak on a crisp cool morning.

She was 18. She ate entirely too much candy. She smelled like an open can of rockstar 10ft away.

If we aren't being creepy:

There's a certain sweet smell that happens when a powersaw hits an ash tree. I've always considered that blend of 2 stroke exhaust, wood sugars, sweat, and the decay of swamp to be the best cologne ever.

The only woman who ever agreed was the rockstar. My wife just says: you stink. Go shower.

I was at a the post office downtown Baton Rouge. An absolute beauty was in line. Summer dress. Blonde hair. Mid twenties. She walk out in front of me and I got a whiff of her perfume. Oh my God. If falling in love has a scent, someone found out how to bottle it. Perfect.

Not sure if this is a euphemism for Arky/Bama hi jinxs?

Nah. Definitely not. We used to visit Aunt Jane in Laurel, MS during the summers when we were out of school. Her kitchen had the most wonderful smells of good, southern food emanating from it starting around mid-afternoon. Being that you and I are from the same general tri-state area around Huntington, Ashland, and Ironton, I'm sure you understand how much better her food must have been compared to what is found in the area we're from.

My favorite smell not mentioned yet: Walking into school early in the morning and you could smell those yeast rolls baking in the cafeteria.

I know what it was from, hence the bow emoji.

I was just adding my two cents with something not mentioned yet.
