because a bunch of people that didn't know what it looked like two days ago think it tarnished their heritage

I fail to understand the outrage for changing it broski.

Dont you and the rest of these crybabies have more important things in life to worry about?

Why am I a crybaby?

Also, don't you think there are more important things in life to worry about than the changing of a flag in a state you don't live in?

The only reason people want it changed in the first place is because they are following a cult-like dogma. They want it gone because they want it gone. It won’t solve racism.

It’s not like someone looks up at that flag everyday and thinks, “Ahh, yeah! I remember! I’m a racist!”
Or they could look up at the flag and know that the majority of voters in the state want the flag representing a rebellion against our nation in the flag representing their state.

So yes, you can look at the flag and deduce that the majority of voters care more about waving their five year "confederate heritage" around rather than a flag that represents the state as it is today. But you're right it won't solve racism, great point.

The heritage part seems to have be erased when the extreme groups decided to adopt it as a strong symbol for their purpose.

I think a big part is that it's a "demand".

I think most people are fine with it being voted on.
In fact, haven't they voted on it before?

Then write your legislator. Other than that, it’s seriously nobody else’s business what Mississippi does with their flag. What I or anyone outside of that state think is a moot point.

I mean, I have no allegiances to this state other than I get a paycheck.

I just think it's funny that people are losing their minds over the possibility that it's changing.

Downvotes equate to a deduction in your IQ points.

Actually it is my business. I don't currently live there but I support an institution of the state.
