Hopefully it's better than mine. I'm faced with the real possibility of having to put down my oldest dog.

Almost 16 years old. Refusing to eat, even after trying wet dog food, cooking rice, slicing up rotisserie chicken --- and even her favorite, canned pumpkin. Losing weight. Struggling at times to get up.

My oldest girl (dog) is older than my two children and older than my marriage.

I knew this day would come. It always does. But it's never easy.

You masked a sad dog story as a fun weekend plans thread!

I'm so sorry about your dog... it's never easy to make that call. Glad you had 16 great years with her... I'm sure she had an amazing life!

Detailing my truck

No wear near as sad as your plans but no party time either.

I'd gladly take a bite from her ... would mean she still has some fight left in her!

Dog has cancer, put her down, 16 is like 100 in dog years. Do it tomorrow then drink like a fish on Sunday.

The reason you don't want to do it is because you are protecting your own feelings. That's selfish. Think about the dog's feelings. It's ok for you to be hurt and to cry about it, but it is not ok for you to prolong the dog's suffering to protect your own feelings.

I’m going down to my local bar to tell everyone that I’m gender neutral and they need to stay atleast 20 feet away from me at all times or there’s gonna be trouble
