it's a great area. Lot of pro's such as dining/golf/shopping and health care. Only cons can be traffic.

How are the schools in the Conroe area? I know Tomball is building like 3-4 schools totalling 200M to cover the influx of residents and planning ahead.

We live in the master planned community of Bridgeland in Cypress, TX and has its own great schools. Are there any master planned communities in the Conroe area the OP might be interested in?

I lived in Kingwood but our jui-jitsu school is in Conroe. When I come back home, I train there. It's awesome but I am kinda partial to it. That's all I got about Conroe other than the lake is nice and I-45 traffic sucks.

Moved here from BR a few years ago. Haven't regretted it. Parks are great, schools are good, tons of job opportunities, real estate is still cheap compared to just about anywhere else.

Unfortunately ER docs make less in Texas

I make a little less per hour than when I worked in Mississippi, but the quality of life is so much better back home in Texas. The pay cut wasn’t that much either.

Fry rd is already getting overcrowded. Can’t imagine what it will be like in a few years.

I remember when Tomball had the one high school and there was nothing out toward Decker Prairie and Stagecoach. I loved going to visit relatives out there
