Stick with the Weber family. Great warranty service, replacement parts are easy to come by when needed and you will pay a little more now, but you can own them for a very long time, if not forever. I have a gas Weber from the 1990's that I refurbed recently, scrubbing the exterior with steel wool and green clean, brass brushing the interior components and and sanded and resealed the wood slats. Flavorizer bars and gas tubing were replaced in early 2000, so not a bad run with it. I have a NG weber that I found at a neighborhood garage sale, same mfg year as my propane weber, that I will be refurbing soon. It will replace my propane red head weber, so if you're in the market for a working Weber, circa 1990's, I'll be looking to sell!

Anything that you can connect to your house's natural gas system. That is the real game changer.

I've owned one of the original Weber Q-series grills for about 10 years now.
Its a nice portable gas grill that is easy to clean. I just take the tank off and bring it to my local coin-op car wash and pressure wash it off after every use.
Cons: It is not as big as a stationary gas grill, thus you can't cook a ton on it, however you can still cook a pretty good amount of food on one.
Pros: It can be used with either those small blue propane tanks or you can get the hose adapter and use a full size tank. It also has cast iron grills and it is a portable gas grill that is easy to clean and maintain. It should also last you forever.
I've had mine for over a decade as mentioned earlier and I've never replaced a part on it yet.
It might be an option for you. It doesn't break the bank like the bigger ones, but will fit most of everyone's needs.

Find a Weber you like. You will never regret it. You will regret anything cheaper.

Get a small two burner Weber.
Go with the 3. I bought one 9 years ago and it is still going strong! My FIL bought one 25+ years ago and it is still burning.

Weber genesis
I've had my Weber Spirit for 15 years. I went through it a couple years ago and replaced all the internals with stainless parts from Weber for around 100 bucks. I still grill on it twice a week.

Weber Genesis
Everything cheaper is pretty much junk including the Chinese Weber.
The Genesis will last mamy years while the other Chinese made ones will go only about 4 years if lucky and you take good care of them.

Speaking of...anyone use one of these and if so does it really help with cleanup?
I use grill mats all the time and yes, they do help with keeping the grates clean. I don't find the expensive mats worth the price though. I haven't noticed any difference between a 2 pack for $20 and a 5 pack for $20.
They all say to put them in the dishwasher but frick that. Just brings a greasy mess inside. I hose them off outside and sometimes scrub them with a soapy brush. Eventually they get torn up so you throw them away and buy a new pack. It's alot faster and more convenient and less messy compared to keeping the grill clean without the mats, especially if you grill several times a week, which you will since it's quicker and easier to maintain the grill this way.

If you are local, I'm about to sell my Weber Genesis for$375. Regular price for one is $799. I've upgraded to a built-in grill and don't need it anymore. It's just taking up space in my garage.

I still don’t get this, heat up the grill and it takes all of maybe 15 seconds to scrape it clean with a brush. I empty the drip pan and remove the catch pan and clean once every 5-6 grills.

I actually would but don't currently have a truck available to me despite living in the LP/Walker area.
Plus those damn roundabouts...

I've got one and they're great. Buy the cart and you can set it up wherever and break it down with ease. I'd highly recommend one.

Jesus Christ man. Clean it after every use!?!
Pop has an old three burner Weber from 04. Cleans it once a year. This is a champ. It’ll be on my patio one day I’m sure.

The Blackstone griddle is amazing.

I’ve had a 4- burner Blackstone for about 3 years and it’s the greatest outdoor cooker I’ve ever seen. Will not go back to traditional grills. Example: Last weekend I cooked 60 hamburgers, 4 packs of Conecuh, 5 packs of wieners for the kiddies, and some veggies in about 20 min. And the burgers was so juicy,I had that juice layer on the bottom of the pan after I took em up, like they were sirloins. Meat just don’t dry out easily on this grill.
If you try it, you will fall in love with it.
Edit: also, ppl say the downside of these is that they’re cast iron and susceptible to rust. I seasoned mine when I first got it, clean it after every use by scraping the char off and wiping with water while it’s still hot. Then, I simply spray a light coat of Pam on the cooktop and cover with a tarp in my shop. Never had any prob with rust, and the whole cooktop stays seasoned and is like cooking on a black iron skillet like mom used to do.

l that's my main grill.
Now while some of you will bitch because I don't get grill marks, I use no stick aluminum foil to make myself a cooking bowl, use extra virgin olive oil and I can get a nice sear on my steak, it doesn't stick and I can wipe out the grill to clean it.
The consistent temp propane provides makes for consistently hitting my preferred cook (medium) a breeze
