I worked on campus in the mid to late 90s and he was always hitting on a girl I worked with. He used to call the office for her. She was like 19 and he was maybe early to mid 40s

I remember years ago being at a Racetrac and looking over and Jordy was pumping gas and there was a blonde (I assume his wife?) all over him, grabbiing his crotch, trying to jump his bones right there at the gas pumps

Yes, he did. Highly touted coming out of HS
He was in the recruiting class with Rudy Macklin, Greg Cook, Walter Davis and Rick Mattick. The building blocks to the fantastic climb to the top. Jordy averaged double figures as a freshman. Then his stats dropped as his playing time decreased as Dale Brown continued to add talented recruits over the next couple of seasons.

About 15 years ago his Wikipedia said that he was know for his “eleven incher”.
My friends and I still laugh about that when his name comes up. So I’d say the story checks out

I saw him in the gas station at coursey and Stumberg one night after work it was like 10 and I was too tired to drum up conversation. This was 17 or 18 I think.

I used to stand in the back row of the seats down the third base line at the old Box, and Jordy liked the same spot. This was the late 90s.
We talked more about football than baseball despite the setting. I didn’t witness any of the behavior described here but who knows. In my experience, he was a nice, down to earth guy.

He was the Pelicans/Hornets sideline reporter for awhile. Used to see him at Mavs games when they were in town.

That had to be the gig of a lifetime for someone like him. Travelling with an NBA team on their dime. Lord knows what castoffs were available.

What do you know about making road trips to Texas with Chris McDuffie in the 1990s?
