Quantum immortality is that you actually jump timelines every time you “die” to a different timeline where you didn’t until true immortality exists

Ah, I guess I was thinking of quantum computing download something something... I still would not want an immortal consciousness where I would remember my loved ones if it meant leaving them behind.

Reminds me of the joke about the suicide bomber who blew himself up in hopes of the 72 virgins. He gets to the pearly gates and Thomas Jefferson, and a bunch of dudes are waiting. He finds St. Peter and he's like, what is going on, where are the virgins?? St. Peter is like, the memo said its 72 Virginians, not 72 virgins.

I will go with Heaven, as my consciousness doesn't travel with me during reincarnation. I want to keep it.

Some think consciousness travels and finds another host during reincarnation, I see consciousness and life energy as separate things.

I kinda of like the idea of Reincarnation if I come back as a human.

Heaven sounds great but the idea of eternity is scary to me. I’d rather my current form end, then reincarnate into a new form that will have an end without remembering my former life

Judging by your avatar photo I'm guessing you went to 'one of them Tuttle schools' and time is a flat circle.

What I would "rather" is of zero consequence. The millions of years prior to my birth as a human and conscious development did not inconvenience me in the slightest...I fully expect the same for the eternity after my physical demise.

Immortality sounds cool until you think about millions or trillions of years later when the Earth is potentially destroyed and you're floating around space alone for eternity.

Planning on Heaven. I'm always doing the "ask for forgiveness" thing. But I guess hypothetically, which of the others would I prefer?

I'm gonna go with Heaven. Final answer.

Quantum immortality would become hell after a while. I can tell you it does not stop time from messing you up.

never thought about that. maybe we could sign a clause before accepting immortality that allows us to self terminate at any time.

That and the whole money thing. Am I going to have a job for hundreds of years?

Then again, I suppose you could work 30-40 years, then “retire” for a while, then keep doing that in an endless cycle, trying different careers.

Still, I feel like after 125 years or so when everyone I know and love keeps dying off while I remain, I’d be ready to call it a day.
