I think the biggest shock will be the speed that normal people turn violent and the speed that that large numbers of people commit suicide.

Probably. If it was you, would you go out to offer help in exchange for resources, or would you go out looking to take what you want?

You are thinking with a civilized mind. Now try the thug mind.

emp....nope
carrington event...nope

Nothing, this thread is just adults larping their survival fantasies similar to the zombie apocalypse survival thread. At least that one acknowledged it was pure fantasy though.

And you’re dumb enough to think you could hop in the truck and drive wherever you want when 20% of the vehicles on the road are broken down and everyone else hops in their vehicle causing the road to be even more gridlocked. You are a complete dumbass to go along with being a party pooping loser.

so you know more than the oak ridge institute who did the study? you know the one that did the did the testing.

yea im the complete dumbass....bitch stick to arguing in fricking court, leave the engineering to guys like me because you dont know shite. and yea im a party pooping looser because i stated a fact. sorry you had to resort to 2nd grade insults.

a simple google search and reading a couple papers on emp or carrington events would save many of yall from looking like fricking idiots. its not like we havent done expierements on nuclear emp and had carrington events in the past.

All those empty old Christmas Cookie tins lined with cardboard make great Faraday Cages. Put your old electronics in them to store.

Never would have thought of that

Does this include loss of natural gas? If not I would run my 45kw generator that runs everything at my property to continue to operate as normal. In times of disaster/ catastrophe my company profits greatly from these events since we have the equipment, manpower and supplies so we would be operating in this mode as we always do and stacking cash. From there I would make sure my family was safe and start accessing duration and plan to move them to one of our more rural/ country properties where they would be isolated from craziness and protected. Would take a few close friends and their families if they needed somewhere to go and a couple of my longest term loyal employees with us for protection and help. We could also hunt, fish and grow things to survive off so I feel like we could survive for a while. It would be a major adjustment, but I think we could survive it, thrive from the elimination of some people and come out stronger.
