I would be respectful to their wishes. Put it in a cup, who cares?

One of my uncles was Southern Baptist but converted to Catholicism when he married my aunt.

His favorite joke was: Why don’t Baptists do it standing up?

Because they’re afraid someone might think they’re dancing.

Sounds like your wife's family are closeted bud light drankers. I would bring them a 6 pack which should be easily found in dumpsters around liquor stores.

I would buy eight margaritas and give half of them to my wife.

I’d just refuse to go, but that attitude is probably why I’m divorced.

"Life is better without alcohol, which is a depressant"

... big screen set-up on the back deck...10-12 good friends and family over.. watching LSU beat Bama...cold beer out of a frosted mug in hand.
Yeah, that's really depressing.

Eat a star of death edible. Nobody will know for at least 45 mins or so.

No drinking needed.

Only bad side is if you start drooling on yourself, they may think you have bigger problems.

If you have any limit you can't go without a drink so much so that you are willing to be totally disrespectful to anyone's beliefs, especially family, then you have a problem. Add to that, they gave you an out of using a Yeti cup.

Just abide by the rules they have laid out or don't go. Simple enough.

accept the temporary limitation like a man.
whining that you earned it is not a compelling argument to come off as weak and intemperate, and a bad choice (that poor woman) and rude to your wife.

Can someone explain to me how Southern Baptists justify not drinking theologically. Jesus turned water into wine for fricks sake.

You married the woman and now want to disrespect her family...you are being a turd. No amount of justification makes it right
