I doubt OP will be given an update unless they suspect foul play and he and co workers are questioned.
Oh and there was methadone? So the purse belonged to a junkie. No junkie is going anywhere without her methadone.

Prozac and methadone? So we have a bipolar heroin addict that fell off the wagon. That changes things.

Charge the phone and check for nude selfies.

Serial killer? Who said anything about a serial killer? Why did you bring that term up? Kinda weird if you ask me. You happen to notice a purse outside of work very early in the morning, then conveniently ask later on if anyone knows anything about it, then voluntarily turn it over to the police and all of a sudden you're mentioning a serial killer?
someone one page 3 mentioned serial killer and Criminal Minds has been brought up multiple times which usually deals with serial killers or kidnappers and 777Tiger used the word unsub and I have seen enough Criminal Minds or the new UNABOMB show to know that is serial killer lingo

Well got a response back from the text message. Appears that the number was to the lady's husband who was appreciative of us contacting them to try and return the wife's stuff. Gave him the police contact number and call log number for him to get the with Sheriffs office to retrieve the belongings

judging by the facebook pics, I do not believe I would willingly search for nude pics on her phone

Ahhh, okay. Maybe an earlier poster was correct about falling off the wagon.
Hopefully, she'll come off the binge and start looking for her bag and didn't meet up with some bad characters while trying to score.
What kind of bag was it??
N'er mind - just saw your post. Is she okay??
And why do I care so much about this. Dang.

a white one with pink stripes like you see women carry to the beach. If you are looking for a brand name, I have no idea it looks like a mom purse bag thingy

Did the OP even try to check the bathrooms? women are usually in there quite a while.

Husband said she had been worried about it and thanked me profusely. I asked if the bag had been stolen in Macon because it seemed weird to end up where we are and haven't gotten a response back.

You're always gonna have problems lifting a body in one piece. Apparently the best thing to do is cut up a corpse into six pieces and pile it all together. And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig shite, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".
Hope this helps

Well considering in the original text, I put that my office was in Macon, GA I would think he would know the area the bag was at
