What would the OT do is this situation?

Came into the office yesterday morning at 6:45. There is a purse and makeup bag sitting next to our loading dock and do not think much of it.
I go out again around 9 am and it the purse and makeup bag are still in the same spot. We have a crew doing some metal roofing work on one of our buildings so I call the foreman to see if anyone has left a purse. Foreman has no women working on his crew.
I retrieve the bag and go to HR so I have a witness. I find a drivers license for a woman from Blairsville, GA and our shop is in Macon, GA so about three hours away and our shop is not easy to find from any major roadways. I search the name on facebook and send a message stating we have her belongings and to contact us so we can arrange to have them returned. As of this morning I haven't gotten a response. We also find some business cards with a company name which has the same last name as the driver's license. I run the number through google and see that it is a cell phone so I send a text stating the same information as the facebook message.
As of this morning, I still haven't heard back, so I am thinking about contacting the police and turning the belongings over to them so they can try and contact the owner, but not even sure the if the police will even respond to the call. Anyone have any other ideas to try and get the lady her belongings back, I have the feeling that something nefarious might have happened given the circumstances.

This is a tough one.
Because if she really is missing, time is of the essence, but you also dont want to cause trouble if not. However, I would say call the damn police at this point.

What's the name, maybe we can help

It's almost been 24 hours and then that purse and makeup is all yours.

her purse and belonging were randomly sitting on their property. I wouldn't care at all about potentially "causing trouble"

I'd post about it on the OT

If the police do not respond to a call about that, Georgia has done highly incompetent officers.

Post her name here and the OT sleuths will find her before the lunch thread.

Dead prostitute?
Judging by the information on Facebook, she does not appear to be a prostitute and it appears she is married with a couple of kids, and no I am not giving out the name.

You're in Macon?
You could go to church and pray about it.
