I don’t care to take a seat at that throne. It’s not mine, and I don’t want the responsibility.

It's a hypothetical and it's not much different than making laws of a sovereign state.

Stop trying to turn this into a sacrilegious thing.

One commandment:

Don't be a dick

I think that covers everything.

The 7 tenets of Satanism are good enough for me. I'm not spiritual or religious but this is a pretty good guide.

1. One should strive to act with compassion and empathy towards all creatures in accordance with reason.

2. The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.

3. One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.

4.The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo your own.

5.Beliefs should conform to our best scientific understanding of the world. We should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit our beliefs.

6. People are fallible. If we make a mistake, we should do our best to rectify it and resolve any harm that may have been caused.

7. Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.

it's baffles me that christians believe that Moses went in to the mountains and god etched some stone tablets with some very basic guidelines about life. It's about as believable as Joseph Smith and the golden plates.

For some reason I think there are people more comfortable putting their faith in a religion that's withstood thousands of years instead of just some dude who has lived in the last 100 years. Maybe that's crazy. I just think you run into issues if someone tried to nominate themselves as the purveyor of morality, which is basically what many political leftists do today.

1. Thou shalt worship no statues. This is very important to morality.
2. Don't cook a goat in its mother's milk. That's just nasty.
3. Only worship me. I'm the best.
4. Don't cuss. It's poor form.
5. No fishing on Sundays. Or eating at Chikfila.
6. Don't murder people. This is generally accepted in every culture, but I'm throwing it in anyway.
7. Don't cheat on your spouse. That causes village disputes.
8. Don't steal stuff. Duh. Everybody knows this.
9. Don't make eyes at the sexy neighbor (See item 7).
10. Don't make eyes at the neighbor's sexy goat. Again, village disputes.

So, basically, I'd keep them the same. I can't think of any better rules for society.

Because nothing says not sacrilegious like making up your own ten commandments.

Sorry, I’ll pass.

Love the one you're with.

Treat every single person as if they were the very divine person.

Watch out for yourself in the clinches.

Vote for people in at least 3 parties in general elections.
