What would be a similar example in men?

So 50 Shades of Gray sells 125M copies, spurs a movie that tops a 1/2 billion at the box office and is about some poor working girl that submits to being used by some affluent pervert.
We've all been told how unwelcome sexual advances are worse than murdering babies with acid, I am just trying to understand a similar example of 125 million guys reading the Deliverance version of Broke Back Mountain, "squeal like a pig cowboy".
Is there an example of men gravitating toward something that they should be theoretically completely "horrified" by?

Stuff like 50 Shades of Grey has the same effect on women that porn does on men, so I guess the answer is...porn?

You think women should be horrified by the biologically ingrained dominance and submission nature of the male/female dynamic?
