When someone uses the "Hey Team" to address a group co workers. We have a few managers that do that here at work and when they do it, it just comes off as so disingenuous.
That just started to become a thing here at our main office in the last couple of years. It's typically used by the managers or supervisors that are not well liked.
It's almost like they attended some conference where they were told to start using that phrase and they instantly came back regurgitating it any time they need to address any group of people.

Exactly and excellent examples.
It was a pretty long-winded post but it's something I feel strongly about. We can't let English decay into "I literally be doin' hella stuff wit' the thing, right?"

Since it was written, not spoken, I'd go with lengthy...ha.
It's not just a case of being some stuffy pedant either. It's a case of accuracy in conveying the message. History is rife with miscommunications due to a misunderstanding in the words used....I also think it keeps us a bit sharper mentally... But perhaps that's just me.

People who quote family guy and constantly talk about politics are the worst.

I take an immediate dislike to people because it saves time.
