That isn't possible for everyone particularly the self-employed. I love how people put this in a box and say that it should be calculated to break even at the end of the year. That simply isn't possible for everyone.

Same here. May owe $1k or get $1k back, but never too far one direction or other. Makes it easy

Edit - I'm self employed, wife is not. We still usually fall in this window
