I've got a little more than 8k coming to me. Anyone else notice that they are taking longer to process returns this year? Once I get it I think I will use a substantial portion of it towards building a pergola.

You're assuming a lot based on one figure. I didn't disclose to you my earnings or any deductions.

Unless you're my tax preparer, I fail to see how you have enough information to make the assertion you made. You don't even know my filing status lol.

Why would I be trolling? Are you also daft enough to believe that you know someone's complete financial profile based on how much they get as a tax refund? If so, please go ahead and tell me what my total 2015 earnings were. I'll wait lol.

Between state and fed we usually break even or owe state about 125-150. Haven't done them this year but I suspect we will be somewhere in that same deal again.

That depends on what interest is on said loans.

Haven't even looked at doing my taxes just knowing more money will come out my pocket.

Everyone on here is a tax professional and they could have quadrupled your refund in a matter of months. I haven't filed mine yet but I usually get back about 2k. I'm just putting mine in the bank account that pays my truck note so I don't have to tend to it.

Just wait to you retire. Even more comes out your pocket. After paying taxes for 45 years, it would seam that one would get a break.

I can't even crack a smile over the amount I owe this year. Thanks Obama.
