I'm pretty interested by the story and I can honestly say that TD is the only place that isn't universally 100% across-the-board mortified and wants him to be divested of his ownership of the team

And yes, people are overreacting terribly to this. If you dont like what this man said, then dont fricking listen, dont watch Clippers games, and dont buy his product. No one is forcing you to listen to the stupid tape.

I love this train of thought. Sterling bears no responsibility here. It's our fault for having heard him and reacting to him.

honestly? you are lying simply by stating this as a fact. The media outlets you have watched have interviewed people who are mortified by this.

oh okay. Yeah, I saw some ranting on my facebook feed the last few days but didn't bother to read any of it.

I feel like they say a lot yet say nothing at the same time.

is that crazy to think?

Hear him. React all you want. But there are actually people calling for his job and insisting he steps down from ownership. That is pure bullshite. He can say w/e the hell he wants and you can either choose to listen and let it get your panties in a wad, or just say "meh" and move on. He's actually right on some instances (the whole "I feed them, give them cars...etc"). For what it's worth, to the jackass insuating Im a KKK member, one of my best friends to this day is a black man that my family more or less took in while we were in middle school and if I'd have to guess, he lived 50% of his life with us up through high school. I am also engaged to a mixed woman who is an OT 9. Dont get your emotions clouded by what is right and wrong. Sterling has a right to be a racist dickhead just like you have a right to not buy his product.

ETA: While Sterlings comments were racist, he sounded more senile and just bat shite crazy than anything else. Telling his girlfriend to not take pictures with black people but then giving his girlfriend permission to have sex Magic Johnson is just a WTF moment for me. If the NBA removes him from ownership though, do you not think Sterling will have some type of legal rebuttal? Unfortunately he did not break a law, which would have made his removal much easier. He was definately wrong for what he said, but let the free market take action on him. Sponsors are already fleeing the scene and nobody in hell will want to go there. Make him stay as owner, allow the team to tank and hit financial troubles, then allow him to sell it once he has taken a financial loss. That is the best way to stick it to him.

Yet, it's completely ok for the likes of Sharpton, Jackson, or hell, even nobama's favorite preacher to behave in this manor.

well, he bought the team for 12 million, so they would have to fall on some seriously hard times for him to take a financial loss.

they are estimated at nearly a billion dollars, thats a far cry from the 12 mil he spent in '89 to get them

And that's what's wrong with America today. No that is not unfortunate. It is completely asinine to demand for a man to step down from ownership because of something he SAID. Period.
