Same thing that happened to kids who had grandparents that didn’t talk to their own kids, had affairs that were kept quiet, and walked around the house zooted out on barbiturates putting canned ham inside a jello mold….

Their parents have all of this. The impact is mental illness, behavior issues, school and holding down job issues. Work in a public school. Kids all on antidepressants and ADHD meds and at least 1 absentee parent.
