I was both an athlete and band geek.
Our marching band won our first competition in the school's young history. After the win I went home to change and head out. I grabbed my parent's (who were not home) bottle of rum and said to my friends, "here's to a great night" proceeding to chug it for about 20 seconds.
That was a REALLY bad idea...

Yukon Jack with ice and a touch of water. I was young and I thought the bottle was badass so I thought it must be cool.
That stuff was like turpentine. I bet if I smelled it today, I would feel nauseous.

I have never been drunk. Saw 4 friends killed on 4 different occasions due to underage drinking and driving by the time I got out of high school.
Pretty much cured me of ever getting drunk.
