16 and I was proud of it in 1975. I think I was still a little drunk from the night before. I learned from that mistake and impressed the importance on my sons who all made in the high 20's, (28-29). They took it several times. I encourage all you baws to take it early and often. Good luck.

28 both times.
1st time: 28 English, 18 Math, 35 Reading, 28 Science
2nd time: 28 English, 21 Math, 32 Reading, 28 Science
Neither of those scores would give you a 28. The test is scored by adding your 4 scores together and dividing by 4. They both yield a 27. Probably why you made poor scores in math on each attempt.

31
Perfect math and reading comprehension, walked out 3/4 through science.

27. Twice.
32 in English, fell asleep. Sucked the rest of the test.
Next attempt... 34 in English, fell asleep. Sucked the rest of the test.
I saw a pattern, so I called 27 good.
Math was 18 and 20, which was right after English

We didn’t have college prep classes or AP in my school
Practice tests you had to buy a big book
Tutoring cost $50/session back then
I made a 27 in spring of 89 on the OLD test and a 28 on the new test
I made a 19 in math both times
My kids had AP, ACT prep and all of the online practice tests they wanted
My son did no prep, my daughter took some practice tests

I actually did stay out all night the night before at the hospital because some friends were in a car wreck. I made a 31 on the first attempt taken the next morning without sleeping. Made a 35 and 34 on the first two sections and could not stay awake/concentrate on the next two sections. So I thought I would do much better the next year, but I made a 30. Flip flopped and stunk up the first two sections and did much better on the second two. Still got a full ride to LSU.

You talking about the teal ACT that equates to an IQ test (pre-‘89) or the bullshite ACT they administer today?
...cause on the “real” one I did well enough to qualify for MENSA and the Top One Percent Society. But they won’t accept what passes for the ACT today.

Took it once in 1984. Made 23 and never looked back. More than enough at that time for me to get into Tech
